An Overview of our Key Initiatives and Commitments

Our ESG Commitment

At CeramTec, ESG is more than a commitment - it is an integral part of our corporate strategy. Here you will find an overview of our key initiatives and targets: from science-based climate goals and our EcoVadis Silver rating to our alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

The SBTi validates that corporate climate targets are in line with the latest climate science to limit global warming to 1.5 °C.

Our commitment at CeramTec

CeramTec has set ambitious, SBTi-validated climate targets for 2030 (2023 base year):

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 47 %
  • Reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions (e.g. purchased goods and services, capital goods, upstream transport and distribution, as well as waste from operations) by 25 %

These targets are a cornerstone of our decarbonization strategy.
