CT Grow - Growing internationally together

Talent programme at CeramTec enters its third round

At CeramTec, young talents and technical experts receive targeted support. The CT Grow talent programme has been an integral part of our personnel development for around two years. A special milestone has now been reached with the start of the third year of the programme: international colleagues also took part for the first time.

Kick-off module in Plochingen and Esslingen

At the beginning of July, the new CT Grow group met for a three-day kick-off module at the Plochingen site. Ten dedicated participants from five CeramTec sites - including Plochingen, Lauf, Marktredwitz and our UK sites in Ruabon and Southampton - took part.

We were delighted to welcome a special visitor at the start: Dr Carla Kriwet (future CEO), Eric Oellerer (CFO) and Laura Görich (Vice President Global Human Resources) took the time to personally welcome the new talents - a strong sign of appreciation and motivation for the participants.

Personal growth - together as a team

The programme focuses on individual development and international networking. In addition to theoretical impulses - for example on team roles or 360° feedback - the programme included numerous practical exercises: from self-reflection and effective communication to teamwork.

A special item on the programme was the guided tour of the Industrial production facility at the Plochingen site, where participants were able to experience our high-performance ceramics live.

Social responsibility and shared experiences

As in previous years, this year's students also got involved in social projects: in a workshop with Helping Hands, the teams built prosthetic hands for people in need - a moving experience that strengthened team spirit. There was also plenty of fun to be had together: a canoe trip on the Neckar and a joint dinner provided space for personal dialogue and strengthened the sense of togetherness.

Another highlight was a visit from some CT Grow alumni, who shared their experiences and were available to answer questions from the new participants.

A strong network across borders

Anne Wöhrle-Freimut, Senior Manager People Development & Learning, is delighted: ‘We have a diverse team from different departments and locations - it's particularly nice to see how well this diverse group harmonises and complements each other!’

CT Grow creates space for development, exchange and new perspectives - across locations and borders. A programme that connects talents and shapes the future at CeramTec.
