10 Years: Celebrating our Commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness

On October 22, 2025, we celebrated a special anniversary at CeramTec: our global Pinktober campaign day took place for the tenth time in a row.

On October 22, we celebrated a special anniversary at CeramTec: our global Pinktober campaign took place for the tenth time in a row. For a decade now, our employees around the globe have been sending a strong message of solidarity, awareness, and hope in the fight against breast cancer.

As every year, things turned pink again: numerous colleagues dressed in pink, decorated their workplaces, and shared photos from around the world. The solidarity was also palpable virtually—with pink Teams backgrounds that made the sense of community visible across national borders.

Pink highlights around the globe
  • India: A special highlight came from our Indian location, where all employees received pink computer mice under the motto “Stay connected – stay aware!”. This campaign reinforced the message of taking responsibility for one's own health – for example, through regular check-ups.
  • Germany: Pinktober was celebrated with culinary creativity at our German sites: from pink muffins, donuts, and burgers to pink potatoes, colorful treats in the cafeterias created a good atmosphere. In addition, Pink Facts provided information about breast cancer and screening options. An accompanying lecture on breast cancer prevention also provided important insights and encouraged discussion. In Germany, we also supported the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) with our almost traditional donation of EUR 2,000.
  • USA (Willoughby): There was also great commitment in the USA: through the sale of raffle tickets and numerous personal donations, $440 was raised for a “lotto tree.” Dai Ceramics doubled the amount to $880, which was donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
  • China: In China, an information event on breast cancer awareness was held, supplemented by videos with educational materials and personal testimonials from patients – a valuable contribution to raising awareness.
A strong sign of solidarity

A heartfelt thank you to everyone around the world who took part in this initiative! Your commitment shows that together we are strong – for more awareness, hope, and solidarity.
