Piezo-ceramic In-Line sensors help protect dialysis patients
For most people infected by the COVID-19 virus, the disease has no major impact and they fully recover. In seldom and extreme cases of COVID-19, the disease can affect the functioning of vital organs such as the kidneys. The kidneys perform several vital functions as
- they remove toxic metabolic products and excess water from the body by the urine

The functioning of damaged kidneys can be supported by dialysis which mechanically cleans the blood through a filter. Waste products are removed from the blood and the cleaned blood is returned to the body.
